Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Usage analytics. We use PostHog, served through our own domain, for page views, page exits, interactions with site controls and performance measurements. Tool events can include categories, amounts, card identifiers and computed results. Adding a custom card also sends its name, annual fee and earn rates as an analytics event. Analytics runs only on pointsbrain.com.
• Your email, if you join the waitlist. It is stored in our analytics backend and sends the operator a notification. We also record where the signup came from (referring page and campaign parameters, when present) so we know what is working. We use the address only to write to you about PointsBrain. No spam, no selling or renting your address.
• Crawler visits. When a known search-engine or AI-assistant crawler fetches a page, we log which crawler and which page, server-side. This involves no personal data.

Tool inputs and share links

The wallet calculator, card duel, category leaderboard and transfer-bonus calculator compute in your browser. The Answer Engine sends your declared wallet card identifiers, balance-question answer and purchase details to our server to compute a result. Purchase details include the amount, category and any merchant, booking, portal or offer information you enter. Tool analytics described above are separate from that calculation.

A shared calculator link contains the selected cards and spending amounts in its URL; a shared duel link contains card identifiers. Anyone with the link can read those values, and opening it sends the URL to the site and its page-view analytics.

What we deliberately do not collect

• No advertising trackers, no third-party ad networks.
• No bank links, no card numbers, no financial accounts.

Cookies and storage

Analytics uses browser storage (localStorage and a cookie) to tell returning visitors from new ones. Blocking it does not break the site.

Who we share data with

Service providers only, to run the site: PostHog (analytics and waitlist storage), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (the operator notification email when you sign up). We never sell personal data.

Removal and questions

Want your waitlist email deleted, or have a privacy question? Use our report form and include a reply address if you would like a response. A dedicated contact mailbox is coming with our own email domain.
